Rattlestick Theater's Van Lier New Voices Fellowship supports two BIPOC playwrights aged 18-30 each year with a $35,000 living stipend, a $5,000 artistic fund, mentorship from a veteran playwright, work-in-progress sharings, a week-long workshop and an invited final presentation. Applicants must live in or near New York City (or in Minnesota) and not be enrolled in a degree program during the fellowship year; applications run from late October to late December, with fellows announced in May. The program is funded by the New York Community Trust's Van Lier Fund and the Jerome Foundation; 2026-27 fellows are Stefani Kuo and Marissa Joyce Stamps.
