Overview
The USITT Stage Management Mentor Project pairs student and early-career stage managers with professional mentors for a week of hands-on training at the USITT Annual Conference & Stage Expo, where mentees stage manage or assistant stage manage up to three conference events and join roundtable discussions on the craft. Applicants must be USITT members (or join) and be at least third-year undergraduates, graduate students, or young professionals within their first two years of paid performing arts work. Applications for the 2026 conference in Long Beach (March 18-21) are closed; the 2027 cycle is expected through the USITT awards portal.
Eligibility
USITT members (or those who will join) who are at least third-year undergraduates, graduate students, or young professionals in their first two years of paid performing-arts employment.
