Overview
The USA Fellowship from United States Artists awards $50,000 in unrestricted funding to artists and collaboratives across ten disciplines, including Theater & Performance, plus access to services such as financial planning, career consulting, legal advice and personal care. Artists cannot apply directly: a rotating group of arts professionals anonymously nominates candidates each year, discipline panels select finalists, and the board approves the class. The 2026 class of 50 fellows included theater artists Jeanette Oi-Suk Yew, Mei Ann Teo, Mina Morita, Tanya Orellana and Ty Defoe.
Eligibility
Nomination only (anonymous rotating nominators); all career stages; individual artists and collaboratives in Theater & Performance among 10 disciplines.
