Studio Theatre's Fellows-in-Residence Program in Washington, DC is a full-season (August to June) paid training program launched in 2024 as the successor to its 18-year Apprentice Program, preparing early-career artists and administrators for professional theatre careers. Positions span production and technical areas, directing, producing, development, marketing, administration and company management; each fellow is embedded in a department, participates in mentorship, seminars and networking, and lives with the cohort in a residence about a mile from the theatre. All 2026-27 positions have closed to applications.
Early-career artists and administrators; fellows live in Studio's Butler House (private bedrooms, shared common spaces) one mile from the theatre. Stage Management Fellow works as ASM and run crew alongside AEA PSMs.
