Overview
Soho Rep's Writer Director Lab, founded in 1998, supports four writer-director teams as they generate new, formally inventive theatrical projects over 12 months. The Lab is co-chaired by William Burke and Jackie Sibblies Drury and culminates in free public work-in-progress presentations. Applications for the 2026-27 cohort are expected to open in winter 2026; the program is supported by the Jerome Foundation.
Eligibility
Writers and directors apply separately; four teams selected; directors submit resume, statement of artistic interests, and directing experience.
