The Seven Devils Playwrights Conference is a two-week new-play development conference held each June in McCall, Idaho by Seven Devils New Play Foundry. Four plays are selected for staged readings with minimal props, sets and lights (including one Theatre for Young Audiences play), and one to four additional writers join the Playwrights Intensive or residency programs; invited playwrights are assigned a director and dramaturg and receive travel, housing, a car and a modest stipend. Full-length, unproduced scripts are accepted through Submittable during an August window for a $13 fee, and playwrights must be in residence for the full two weeks.
