Overview
The Omaha Community Playhouse Directing Fellowship is a season-long program (August to June) for four emerging or developing directors in the Omaha area. Fellows serve as assistant directors on at least two mainstage productions, work with the artistic director, associate artistic director and guest directors from auditions through opening, join roundtables, workshops and guest-artist sessions, and may direct an Education Department production. Fellows receive $500 per assigned production plus complimentary preview tickets; the 2026-27 application deadline was June 16, 2026.

Emerging and developing directors; hands-on assignments with professional mentorship.
