Overview

Repertorio Español's New York Community Trust Van Lier Fellowship for Young Latiné Directors supports two emerging Hispanic/Latiné directors, age 30 or under and living in New York City, who have completed a theatre degree and are not currently enrolled in training. Each fellow directs two professional Spanish-language productions at Repertorio over two summers, receiving mentorship and a stipend; the 2026-27 cohort directs contemporary works in summer 2026 and Spanish Golden Age plays in summer 2027. Eligibility

Hispanic/Latine directors age 30 or younger; BA/BFA/MFA completed; not currently enrolled; NYC five-borough resident; US citizen or permanent resident.

Notes

2026 fellows BT Hayes and Geo Rivera direct contemporary works summer 2026 and Spanish Golden Age plays summer 2027.
