Overview

The DeVos Institute Global Executive Arts Management Fellowship, in its 25th year in 2026, is a three-year, fully subsidized program led by Michael M. Kaiser and Brett Egan for senior executives (CEOs, executive directors, managing directors, and similar) of arts, culture, heritage, and humanities nonprofits worldwide. Fellows attend a four-week residency each July for three consecutive summers, receiving intensive training in strategic planning, leadership, fundraising, marketing, governance, HR, and financial planning applied to their own organizations, alongside peer learning across cohorts. Fellows receive travel, lodging, per diem, program materials, and visa sponsorship; applicants must lead an organization with at least three full-time staff, several years of programming, and a budget of at least $250,000.

Eligibility

Must currently serve as CEO/ED/GM/Managing Director or similar with strategic responsibility at a nonprofit with 3+ FT staff, 3+ years programming, budget of $250K+; artistic directors without executive jurisdiction are NOT eligible; 5-8 fellows/year
