$1,500 domestic travel stipend plus conference registration and two $250 travel stipends; mentorship cohort
TYA/USA's Emerging Leader Fellowship, founded in 2017, supports the career development of early- to mid-career theatre for young audiences (TYA) makers and administrators by funding domestic travel to visit and learn from an inspiring arts organization or mentor. The 2026 fellowship includes a $1,500 U.S. travel stipend, registration and $250 travel stipends for the 2026 and 2027 TYA/USA National Festival & Conferences, a peer-education cohort program, personalized mentorship from TYA/USA's executive director and other national and international TYA leaders, and support in applying for ASSITEJ international opportunities. At least 51% of support is directed to applicants from BIPOC, TGNC, and disability communities; the 2026 cohort of three fellows has been named.
