Overview
Collaborative Connections is the Stage Managers' Association's mentoring program, through which SMA members at any level can request to be paired with an experienced professional stage manager for a one-time conversation or a longer mentoring relationship, including guidance on specific genres such as touring or particular geographic markets. Members log in to the SMA website to submit a Request a Mentor form, while experienced stage managers volunteer via a Serve as a Mentor form; the program is free with SMA membership rather than a stipended fellowship. The SMA also runs Operation Observation and the Ask a Stage Manager service.
Eligibility
Open to SMA members at all career levels seeking advice from seasoned professional stage managers.
