Ars Nova's Artists in Residence program is a ten-month, development-focused residency in New York City for early-career performing artists, including generative artists (writers, composers, choreographers, comedians) and interpretive artists such as directors, dramaturgs, curators and creative producers; individuals, duos and trios may apply. Residents receive a monthly stipend, a project development budget, individualized support from the artistic team, rehearsal and theater space, workspace, complimentary tickets and opportunities for readings, workshops and public showings, and take part in monthly cohort gatherings from September through June. The 2026-27 application closed July 6, 2026 and the application page has since been taken down.
