Seeking (all roles are available unless otherwise specified):

Matthew:

15 (may be cast slightly older). Well-developed for his age, very handsome and charismatic. Very aware of his attractiveness, and uses it to get what he wants. Persuasive, clever, confident, aggressive.

Jacob:

15 (may be cast slightly older). Matthew’s best friend. Studious, funny, smart, self-deprecating; late-bloomer, physically and socially. The not-so-popular, not-so-athletic kid at the school.

Marsha:

40. Walter’s wife. Strong-minded and -willed. Natural leader; does her best to keep the family on the right track. Opinionated but compassionate.

Rodney:

30s. The scoutmaster. Genuinely kind and altruistic; loves his job and being a mentor to his young troop, and holds himself to the highest standard. A good man.

Larry:

40s. Father of another scout. Brash, highly opinionated, outspoken, a bit too blunt and insensitive.

Walter:

CAST. Auditioning performers will be considered as possible replacements, should any become necessary. 40. Matthew’s father. Intelligent, quick, questioning. Not a natural outdoorsman, but willing to support his son in all his scouting efforts. Tries to be a good father and husband, but doesn’t always know how. Well-meaning.
