PREPARATION
Please prepare two contemporary monologues not to exceed 4 mins. Monologues should be contrasting in style and tone.

SHOW ONE - An ensemble-based story. Seeking actors of varying ages, ethnicities and gender identities - particularly seeking actresses late 30s - 40s for one role.

SHOW TWO - A story centered around an African-American family. Seeking African-American male and female actors, ages 18-60.

SHOW THREE - HOW TO DEFEND YOURSELF By Lily Padilla Directed by Marti Lyons
Your body is a weapon. So says Brandi, who starts teaching her peers self-defense after fraternity brothers assault one of her sorority sisters. Joined by two male classmates who show up in support, Brandi's peers learn how to fight back, while wrestling with their own complicated experiences and desires. Visceral and provocative, How to Defend Yourself examines the impact of rape culture, on campus and beyond.
