Breakdown

Samar
Female, Egyptian Muslim, 20-28 years old, does not wear a veil. Samar dresses in chic, western clothes, modestly dressed when she goes out, not so modest at home or among friends. She often wears a NY Yankees baseball hat. She is a student at the American Egyptian University in Cairo, studying journalism. Samar is opinionated, smart and strong-willed. She is Well-off, cosmopolitan, and is fluent in English but speaks some Arabic throughout the play (and a little French). Very friendly, very outgoing she has a great heart.
