SEEKING

Equity actor/singers for various roles.

All cast members play a number different of characters throughout the show. All actors must be strong singers as well as actors. WE ARE ACTIVELY SEEKING ALL ETHNICITIES FOR ALL ROLES

PREPARATION

Please prepare a brief song in the style of the show. The show has many musical styles from ragtime to choral to operatic to musical theatre. Songs should show range and emotional depth.
Please bring a headshot and resume, stapled together.

NOTE:
TITANIC is the Tony Award-winning musical that is based on the famous sailing and sinking of ‘the ship of dreams.’ This production uses a 20-person ensemble to tell the tale and plunges audiences into the glamour, chaos and heroism of the early 20th century. The musical takes place over five days aboard the most infamous ship of all time. TITANIC is a heart-stopping and riveting ride through the final moments of its fateful journey.

SEEKING:
Thomas Andrews – 40’s, Any Ethnicity
Designer of the Titanic, a very level-headed but passionate man, leading role, strong vocal and incredible actor needed; strong presence. Dramatic bari/tenor, sings up to G.

J. Bruce Ismay – 40’s, Any Ethnicity
Owner of the ship. An upper-class ruthless man who stops at nothing to get his own way, physically fit, strong character, and a dominant man; baritone, sings up to G.

E.J. Captain Smith – 50’s, Any Ethnicity
Captain of the Titanic, a white-haired man with strong morals, near to retirement. Has a wealth of experience; character baritone, commanding voice, sings up to F.

Frederick Barrett / Mr. Guggenheim / 3rd Class Passenger – 30-35, Any Ethnicity
The stoker, very masculine, handsome, and physically fit man, toned body; lyric bari/tenor, sings up to G.

Harold Bride / Jack Thayer / Bell/Hartley /3rd Class Passenger – 22-30, Any Ethnicity
The radioman, slim, a sweet man; Strong actor; Melodic tenor, sings up to G.
Covers Smith and Ismay.

Charles Clarke/1st Class Passenger – 35-40, Any Ethnicity
A man content with his middle-class life and thinks he knows his place, looking forward to his new life in America; strong actor, heroic tenor, sings up to G, but also possible high C man. Covers Andrews and Isidor Straus.

Edgar Beane / Officer Boxhall / 3rd Class Passenger – 35-40, Any Ethnicity
A man content with his middle-class life and thinks he knows his place, looking forward to his new life in America, strong actor; character bass, sings up to D.

Jim Farrell / Stoker / 1st Class Passenger – 20’s, Any Ethnicity
Handsome, romantic lead; a 3rd class passenger; bari/tenor, sings up to F#. Covers Bride.

Henry Etches / Officer Pitman – 25-35, Any Ethnicity
Handsome and physically fit, head butler on the ship; strong stage presence, jaunty tenor, sings up to G. Covers Barrett.

William Murdoch / Bass Player – 30-40, Any Ethnicity
The first officer on the bridge of the Titanic; strong actor, baritone, sings up to F#.

Officer Lightoller / Mr. Astor / Bell – 30-40, Any Ethnicity
Second Officer on board the Titanic; strong actor, range up to D, but preferably with tenor timbre, chorally up to G.

Alice Beane / 3rd Class Passenger – 30-40, Any Ethnicity
An aspirational young woman who dreams of becoming a 1st class passenger; alto, belts up to E.

Bellboy / 3rd Class Passenger – 20, Any Ethnicity
The youngest worker on board the ship (13-16 years old); must have a very young look and childlike quality, tenor, solo up to G, but also possible high C man. Covers Fleet and Etches/Pitman.

Caroline Neville / Mrs. Thayer – 30-40, Any Ethnicity
A young woman who dreams of becoming part of the social elite; strong actor, first soprano, lyric, chorally up to high C. Covers Ida Straus.

Kate McGowan / Mrs. Weidner – 20-30, Any Ethnicity
A feisty and strong girl, 3rd class passenger; Celtic mezzo, solo singing up to F#, chorally up to G.
