June Yaeger:
American, mid 20s. Extremely pretty, blonde wife. Not very bright, and not very bothered by the fact.
Giovanna:
Italian woman, 20s. Sloppy, nice-looking girl who works as housekeeper at the pensione. Speaks very little English.
Vito:
Italian male, 16-17. Di Rossi's son. Handsome young man. Speaks with an Italian accent.
Mr. McIlhenny:
American, late 50s/early 60s. Retired tourist from the Midwest. NOT having the time of his life.
Mrs. McIlhenny:
American, late 50s/early 60s. Same as her husband, but with more charm and warmth.
Mauro:
Italian boy (looks no older than 12). Speaks with an Italian accent. Street urchin. Wise beyond his years, and always looking for a way to make a buck
The following roles are cast. Auditioning performers will be considered as possible (emergency) replacements, should any become necessary.
Signora Fioria:
CAST. Italian woman, 40s. Dark. Italian accent. Attractive. Intelligent, perceptive, sardonic humor, Exudes uncomplicated sexiness.
Leona Samish:
CAST. American, late 30s/early 40s. Pleasantly attractive. She wants so much to be liked. Warm, generous, funny and bright, but also lonely … and always has been.
Renato Di Rossi:
CAST. Italian man, early 40s. Striking tired good looks, silver-grey hair. Simple, direct, at ease, charming and sincere. Most women are attracted to him, and most men like him.
Eddie Yaeger:
CAST. American, late 20s. Intense painter who tries to appear casual, cheery and easygoing. Suffering from “artist's block”.
