Equity actors for role of Vito Marcantonio in THE PURGATORY TRIAL OF VITO MARCANTONIO.
One-Man show, 75 minutes in length.
VITO MARCANTONIO: male age 50, 5'7 or under, average build. Italian American. Some knowledge of speaking Italian.
'Vito Marcantonio': an historic Italian American Politician and Lawyer who lived from 1902-- 1954. He served in East Harlem for seven terms in the US House of Representatives. He was a devout Chatholic with strong ties and sympathy for the Communiist Party. He has been described as one of the greatest champions of black civil rights during the 1930's and 40's.
