PREPARATION


An Equity Monitor will be provided. Please prepare 2 contrasting contemporary monologues totaling 2-minutes or less. If you are unable to attend this in-person audition, you are welcome to submit a video audition. Please submit your video audition at:

SOPHIA - Female. Late 30s-40s. Colombian-American. Doctor. Was supposed to marry Jimmie. 1st Gen. She wears a wedding dress throughout most of the play. Miss Colombia meets Miss Havisham.

MARIA - Female. 30s. Mexican-American. Nurse. Was supposed to be in the wedding party. 1st Gen. Dressed for the Club.

CELIA - Female. 30s. Venezuelan-American. Lawyer- if she can get hired. Was supposed to be in the wedding party. DACA Dreamer. Cute velour matching sweat suit kind of girl.

GLORIA - Female. 30s-40s. Cuban-American. Lawyer. Was supposed to be in the wedding party. 1st Gen. Dressed to pitch a tent, play tennis, or pop lock and drop it. Lots of jewelry.

JENNI - Female. Late 30s-40s. Puerto Rican. Nuyorican. Nurse. Was supposed to be the Maid of Honor. A cut-up styled T- Shirt that says, “Boricua Pride” and stylish jeans.

BRADY - White. Male. 30s. His heritage is a math equation that came over on The Mayflower.

TONY - White. Male. 30s. Italian-American. His name ends in a vowel. Which one? We don’t know. He just wants you to know that.
