Summer Shorts – Dade: 1st reh: 5/15/12. Runs 6/1-6/17 (Th-Su). Rehearsals and performances at Miami’s Adrienne Arsht Center. Summer Shorts – Broward: 1st reh: 6/19. Runs 6/29-7/15 at The Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

Please prepare two brief, contemporary monologues; at least one should be comic. No musicals are planned; no accompanist provided.
Please bring TWO sets of your stapled-together photo/resume.
Callbacks will be held later this fall, date TBD. Actors chosen to attend callbacks will do cold readings from plays under consideration for the 2012 festival.
2012’s Summer Shorts program will comprise two productions: Summer Shorts - Dade and Summer Shorts - Broward. Each will be made up of 5-8 short plays (titles TBA). Last year's plays included short works by Gart Wingfield, Marco Ramirez and Israel Horovitz and others.
Seeking (all listed positions are available (i.e. not yet offered and accepted)):
Two Ensembles of 5 - 7 Versatile Actors (M/F) Each:
Any age/any ethnicity. For Summer Shorts-Dade and Summer Shorts-Broward. Actors will be hired for one or both programs. No roles are understudied. For Dade, seeking strong, versatile actors (m/f), able to play a diversity of roles. All types encouraged to audition. For Broward, Theatre is particularly interested in actors, comedians, performance artists and spoken-word poets.
