• ELIZABETH DARCY: Early twenties, beautiful, poised, and radiating intelligence
• FITZWILLIAM DARCY: Early thirties. Handsome and aristocratic. Sometimes taciturn, but dutiful and devoted to his wife, Elizabeth
• LIEUTENANT MELVILLE: Late thirties, a handsome American who is a veteran of several wars and aide-de-camp to Napoleon
• NAPOLEON BONAPARTE: Mid-forties. An imposing force of nature. He has so much energy that even at rest, he feels ready to explode
• LADY CATHERINE DE BOURGH: Mid-sixties. A severe, unsmiling aristocrat with a glare of anger that could cut through glass
• ANNE DE BOURGH: Early twenties. Beaten down by her mother, she is pale and thin.
• LYDIA WICKHAM: Late teens. She is Elizabeth’s youngest sister, a wild, lively young woman with poor judgement, but a good heart.
• MR. COLLINS/MAJOR HUDSON LOWE: Late forties/fifties. Collins is absurdly polite, insufferably pompous, and firmly believes that his studied humility makes him universally admired. Lowe: A belligerent Anglo-Irishman who has commanded regiments in many heated and difficult battles. Stocky and mean-spirited

SEEKING:

• BRENDA: 70-ish, a waitress at the pancake house, energetic and affable, still working hard for the money. Divorced with a daughter and two grandsons. A free spirit in the 1970’s, lonelier than she seems.
• JIM: 70-ish, semi-retired, active with community groups. Not originally from here, Jim’s a former Air Force sergeant, who worked another 20 years as a salesman. Married to Deb.
• JACK: 70-ish, Conservative, successful, he works part-time at the Cadillac dealership he owns. Acerbic, opinionated, and usually right, according to himself.
• RICK AMSTERDAM: 70-ish, A snappy dresser, former State Department worker, Viet Nam vet, widower, grief counselor, and an almost-attorney. He worked in Europe for a long time, though he’s originally from here.
• WILLA: 40-ish, Brenda’s daughter. She works at Jack’s car dealership. Newly divorced with two teenage sons, she depends on her mother a lot.
• DENISE HANGSLEBEN (HAHNG SLAYBN): 70-ish, CC’s widow. Twice divorced with two grown children, a good Catholic with very high standards, except in her love life. She went to high school with CC and Brenda.

SEEKING:

• CASEY/GEORGIA: Male-identifying, 20’s, Caucasian. As CASEY he is a charismatic and charming small town high school football star turned Elvis impersonator. A loyal, loving husband who dreams big, if not practically. As GEORGIA she is a drag queen with Elvis, Country and Rock ‘n Roll roots, but ultimately a wholly original creation and a force of nature. Sexy, flirtatious, and powerful. Must be comfortable singing while playing guitar live.
• JO: Female-identifying, 20’s, African-American. JO is Casey’s wife, a caring and supportive partner. She’s a realist who’s prone to being fatalistic. She works hard in a service job and it’s taken a toll, but her pragmatism grounds Casey while he enables her to breathe and dream.
• MISS TRACEY MILLS/BOBBY: Male-identifying, 40’s-50’s, any ethnicity. As TRACEY, she is a seasoned drag queen, professional, confident, very funny. Her sharp tongue masks her heart of gold; she’s kind, protective, and nurturing to Casey. Out of drag, as BOBBY, he still has Miss Tracey’s wit and tough love, but without all the rhinestones and ruffles.
• REXY/JASON: Male-identifying, 20’s-30’s, any ethnicity. As REXY, she is very funny, feisty and fierce with a dark past. A fairly trashy gal who fancies herself the most sophisticated in the room. Thrives on conflict and is a bit of a hot mess, but she has great respect for the history and art of drag. As JASON, he is the sweet best friend of Jo and Casey, as well as their landlord. He has a contentious relationship with his wife, so he usually prefers being in their home to his.
• EDDIE: Male-identifying, 50’s-60’s, any ethnicity. EDDIE, cousin to Miss Tracey, is the easily flustered, hot-headed owner of a struggling dive bar trying to keep the business afloat. He’s a bit rough around the edges, but later in the play he becomes an amateur showman who loves the spotlight.
