Nude Producer Descending is historical fiction based on the sad fact that in 1988 the Broadway producer of Oh! Calcutta! murdered his wife, an actress, and then he committed suicide. My play, a comic tragedy, explores character and motive in an antic, off-beat and modern form derived from its contents, the story of love gone mad.

Seeking:

Male 1:

55 years old: producer overwrought with love; becomes desperate, paranoid and then psychotic.

Male 2:

35 years old: ambitious and charming playwright with a crude edge.

THE DATES AND TIMES OF COMMITMENT WOULD BE:

February 5 – 6:30-9:30pm rehearsal at Nola Studios in mid-town (NYC)

February 8 – 6:30-9:30pm rehearsal at Nola Studios in mid-town (NYC)

February 10 – 6:30pm formal reading at a home on upper Fifth Avenue (NYC)

February 15 – 6:30pm formal reading at Manhattan Theatre Source on MacDougal Street (NYC)
