SYNOPSIS: A chamber rock musical about a love triangle that goes wrong. Sexy with a sharp wit and the driving force of a noir thriller, Murder Ballad explores the complications of love, the compromises we make, and the betrayals that can ultimately undo us.
NARRATOR: Role has been precast. Female Presenting. Age: 20-55. Range E5-F3. The storyteller. Philosophical, poetic, and a little opinionated.
Sara: Female Presenting. 30s to 40s. Range E5 - E3. She is an ambitious starving artist and musician. Married to Michael. Once Tom's lover.
Michael: Male Presenting. 35 to 45. Range A4 - F#2. A poetry PhD. Sweet and calming. Married to Sara.
Tom: Male Presenting. 35 to 45. Range F#4 - G2. An ambitious starving artist and actor. Owns a bar. Sara's first lover.
