[MACBETH] CAST – Daniel Craig. Male. 50’s. Scottish general & Thane of Glamis. Married to Lady MacBeth.
[LADY MACBETH] CAST – Ruth Negga. Female. 40’s – 50’s. Wife of Macbeth.
[MACDUFF] Male. BIPOC. 40s – 50s. Thane of Fife & married to Lady Macduff. Becomes a leader of the crusade to unseat Macbeth.
[BANQUO] 30’s – 50’s. Fellow captain & friend of Macbeth. Brave and noble. Haunts Macbeth after their death.
[MALCOLM] 20s. Oldest child of King Duncan and sibling of Donalbain. After their father’s death, MALCOLM becomes a serious threat to Macbeth’s ascendancy to the throne.
[LENNOX/MENTETH] 30s – 50’s. Lennox: Nobleperson attending to Duncan; joins Macbeth’s court but is soon convinced of Macbeth’s guilt and deserts him in support of Malcolm. / Menteth: One of the four Thanes who reinforces Malcolm’s army.
[ROSS/CAITHNESS] 40s – mid 60s. Ross: Thane of Cawdor & Lady Macduff’s cousin; delivers news of Macbeth’s actions to those who oppose Macbeth. Caithness: One of the four Thanes who reinforces Malcolm’s army.
[LADY MACDUFF/WITCH 1] Female/female identifying. 30’s – 40s. Lady MacDuff: Wife to Macduff; sharp and direct, unafraid to voice her feelings of betrayal over her husband’s desertion. Witch 1: One of three witch sisters who prophesy Macbeth’s ascendency to the throne.
[DONALBAIN/WITCH 2/MURDERER 3] 20’s. Donalbain: Youngest child of King Duncan & sibling of Malcolm. Witch 2: One of three witch sisters who prophesy Macbeth’s ascendency to the throne. Murderer 3: One of 3 who murders Banquo.
[FLEANCE/WITCH 3] FLEANCE, 13, youngest child of BANQUO. WITCH 3, any age, one of the three witch sisters who prophecy Macbeths ascendency to the throne.
[DUNCAN/PORTER/OLD SEYWARD] – Male. Caucasian. 50s – 60s. Duncan: King of Scotland. Porter: Gate keeper of MacBeth’s castle.
[APPARITION/MACDUFF’S CHILD] APPARATION, any age, one of three apparitions who carries a warning to Macbeth. MACDUFFS’ CHILD: 13, child of Macduff and Lady Macduff who is informed of their father’s betrayal and subsequent death by their mother.
[CAPTAIN/MURDERER 1/SEYTON] 20s – 30s. Murderer 1: One of 3 who murders Banquo.
[DOCTORS/MESSENGERS] any age; MESSENGER: warns Lady Macduff to flee.
[MURDERER 2/ANGUS] any age; Murderer 2: One of 3 who murders Banquo. Angus: One of the four Thanes who reinforces Malcolm’s army.
