NOTE: LOST IN THE STARS opened on Broadway in October, 1949. It is based on the novel Cry, The Beloved Country by Alan Paton. The cast included Todd Duncan (the original Porgy.) It takes place in South Africa and is one of the first dramatic explorations of apartheid.
Seeking the following singing role:
Alex:
9- 12 years old. African American young boy. Must be a strong singer. The illegitimate son of Stephen’s daughter that has disappeared. He is saved by the love and eternal optimism of Stephen, who will raise him.
