PREPARATION

Please prepare a short cut of a pop/rock or contemporary musical theatre song that
shows off your range. A piano accompanist will be provided. Also, please bring your headshot and resume stapled together.

SEEKING:

ROBIN – Character is male (cis, trans or non-binary), early 20s, BIPOC. Not your usual hero model; a very winning, boisterous, and rather sensitive, immature young man who grows to hero status over the course of the action; good sword fighting skills required. Pop voice - high bari or 2nd tenor. Possesses comic ability, personality and versatility in the spirit of an inventive company of creative performers.

MARIAN – Character is female (cis, trans or non-binary), early 20s, BIPOC. Very winning and confident – not a wallflower; she progresses from a cloistered, conservative young woman to embracing the larger world and finding the hero within herself. Very strong singer for a number of solos/range of styles. Pop belt/soprano. Possesses comic ability, personality and versatility in the spirit of an inventive company of creative performers.

MEG – Character is female (cis, trans or non-binary), 20s, BIPOC. Scottish (accent required). A tough cookie with a great good heart; brash, speaks the truth; a woman of action; a unifier; sword fighting involved (but the character is not a very skilled fighter). Thrilling pop/rock alto voice. Possesses comic ability, personality and versatility in the spirit of an inventive company of creative performers.

LITTLE JOHN – Character is male (cis, trans or non-binary), 20s, any ethnicity. Physically imposing; strong and looks tough, but is soft on the inside; most often voices PRINCE JOHN. Baritone/bass vocals. Possesses comic ability, personality and versatility in the spirit of an inventive company of creative performers.

WILL SCARLETT – Character is male (cis, trans or non-binary), 20s, any ethnicity. May seem frivolous but committed to the greater good and making a difference in the world; exuberant; an entertainer. A comedian. Tenor vocals. Possesses comic ability, personality and versatility in the spirit of an inventive company of creative performers.

ALAN A’DALE – Character is male (cis, trans or non-binary), early 20s, BIPOC. A charismatic troubadour / guitar player; cocky and clever – a showman with rock star quality. High rock/pop baritone for a number of solos. Possesses comic ability, personality and versatility in the spirit of an inventive company of creative performers.

MUCH – Character is a young boy of 12 (cis, trans or non-binary) to be played by an adult, prepubescent speaking voice and soprano singing voice, any ethnicity. Small of physical stature, ideally under 5'2; they’re the little mouse that roars; feisty. Must possess comic ability, personality and versatility in the spirit of an inventive company of creative performers.

FRIAR TUCK – Character is male (cis, trans or non-binary), 20s, any ethnicity. A very liberal version of a Friar; has a droll wit and a quick mind; sword fighting involved. Baritone vocals. Possesses comic ability, personality and versatility in the spirit of an inventive company of creative performers.

SHERIFF – Character is male (cis, trans or non-binary), 20s, any ethnicity. Has a chip on his shoulder – the guy always chosen last for the kick ball team; charismatic, cold, conniving, calculating and sarcastic; good sword fighting skills required. Strong baritone, may lean toward legit. Possesses comic ability, personality and versatility in the spirit of an inventive company of creative performers.

LADY JANE - Character is female (cis, trans or non-binary), 20s, any ethnicity. Strong willed and very supportive of Marian; a no-nonsense character. Alto vocals. Possesses comic ability, personality and versatility in the spirit of an inventive company of creative performers.

LADY ANNE - Character is female (cis, trans or non-binary), 20s, any ethnicity. A bit kookier than the others; great with comedy; naive, has grown up a bit cloistered; must play a handheld instrument that allows her to sing while playing: accordion, violin, ukulele, etc. Soprano, faux operatic voice. Possesses comic ability, personality and versatility in the spirit of an inventive company of creative performers
