SHANE (M) Sweet, kind, energetic, starry-eyed golden-boy; goes to bed at 8:45 pm; mom lets him eat carbs on his birthday; wants to be Ilya's boyfriend. MT/Pop tenor. AAPI/Hapa.

ILYA (M) Brooding, mysterious, cold, sexy, cruel Russian. MT/operatic tenor/baritone who can bring down the house emotionally a la Nicholas Christopher in Chess or Josh Groban in Great Comet. Any race.

MAIN SUSAN / ROSE / IRINA / FRENCH TEAMMATE (W): Aidy Bryant type. Doubles a variety of roles including wine mom MAIN SUSAN, the sweet girl-next-door actress ROSE, and the ethereal IRINA. A strong MT belter. Any race.

SHANE'S MOM / SVETLANA / MARIA (W) Doubles a variety of roles including the loving and protective SHANE'S MOM, Ilya's Russian fuck-buddy best-friend SVETLANA, and playful smoothie-maker MARIA. A strong MT belter. POC.

ILYA'S DAD / KIP / HAYDEN (M) Doubles a variety of roles including the heartless and nasty ILYA'S DAD, upbeat smoothie-making gay guy KIP, and other characters.

UNDERSTUDY 1 - To cover Shane, Ilya & Ilya's Dad. MT/Pop tenor - C3-Ab4. AAPI/Hapa.

UNDERSTUDY 2 - To cover Ilya & Ilya's Dad. Strong MT singer - C3-Ab4. Any Race.

UNDERSTUDY 3 - To double a variety of roles including MAIN SUSAN, and SHANE'S MOM. Strong MT belter - G#3-E5, opt to F#5 & Ab5. POC.

Although the sides will not be available until the audition, the producers have provided the following guidance for auditioning for each character.

SHANE - Shane sides 1 & 2 (For Shane Sides 2, please do not play 'drunk')

ILYA - Ilya's Sides 1 & 2 in Russian accent

MAIN SUSAN & OTHERS - Main Susan Sides 1, 2, 3 & 4. Main Susan should have Minnesota or Midwestern accent. French Teammate should have a French accent.

SHANE'S MOM & OTHERS - Shane's Mom Sides 1, 2 & 3. Svetlana should have a Russian accent.

ILYA'S DAD & OTHERS - Ilya's Dad Sides 1, 2 & 3. Sides 1 should be in a Russian accent.

UNDERSTUDY 1 - Ilya Sides 1, Shane Sides 1, Shane Sides 2, Ilya's Dad Sides 2 & 3.

UNDERSTUDY 2 - Ilya Sides 1 & 2, Ilya's Dad Sides 2 & 3. Ilya's sides should be in a Russian accent.
