MY FAIR LADY Music: Frederick Loewe. Book/Lyrics: Alan Jay Lerner. Dir/Choreo: Christian Saint-Girard. Mus Dir: Louis F. Goldberg. 1st reh: 5/24. Runs 6/9-6/19.

Henry Higgins:

40-50. Upper-class British accent. Professor of Linguistics. Conceited, and not in touch with his feelings. Originally played by middle-aged Rex Harrison. Prefer excellent actor with great presence who sings well. Starring role. Baritone.

Alfred Doolittle:

45-65. Cockney accent. Eliza’s father. Slightly alcoholic dustman. Seeking excellent actor/singer with great comic timing who moves well. Sings “With A Little Bit Of Luck” and “Get Me to the Church on Time”. Featured. Baritone.

SISTERS OF SWING: THE STORY OF THE ANDREWS SISTERS Book: Beth Gilleland and Bob Beverage. Arrangements/Continuity: Raymond Berg. Dir/Choreo: Jason Summers. Mus Dir: Ray Rhoads. 1st reh: 6/14. Runs 6/23-6/26.

Casting note: ALL three Andrews Sisters must sing, act and move VERY well. All must be able to

portray their relative ages (Patty the youngest, Maxene the middle, and LaVerne the oldest). All must be able to “age” in the show from little girls to mature adults. It is not essential that the performers look like the original Andrews Sisters, BUT specific physical types in comparative heights, coloring and body types are sought. The Andrews Sisters were THE hottest girl singing group of their day in recordings, concerts and films. ALL performers must be quick studies, be able to perform very close harmonies and learn 1940s-style choreography.

Patty:

20s. Lead singer and youngest sister. Clown of the group; adores the spotlight. Excellent singer/actress with real stage presence sought. Strong belt/mix.

Maxene:

20s. Middle sister. Outspoken; most rebellious of the sisters; always testing boundaries. Another excellent singer/actress with presence sought. Soprano/mix.

LaVerne:

20s. Oldest sister. Closest to her parents. Tends to be the responsible one, and the “little mother” of the group. Plays piano. Also an excellent singer/actress. Alto to low F.

Man:

25-50. This is a real “tour de force” role! Track requires an excellent comic actor/singer with exceptional versatility. Plays Lou Levy, a New York wheeler-dealer. Also plays a variety of characters including, but not limited to Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Larry Rich, Vaudeville Man, Train Conductor, Stage Hand, Paul Douglas, The Beer Fraulein (in drag), Soldier in the Jeep, BBC Announcer, Italian Waiter, Slate Person, Soldier in the Audience, Carmen Miranda (in drag), Lieutenant, Soldier with a Message, Frontier Casino Announcer, The Doctor, Summons Messenger, Ed McMahon and Johnny Carson. Baritone.

A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC Score: Stephen Sondheim. Book: Hugh Wheeler. Dir/Choreo: Carol Ann Page. Mus Dir: Louis F. Goldberg. 1st reh: 6/21. Runs 6/30-7/10.

Fredrik Egerman:

40-50. Attractive, mature and successful lawyer. Sexually frustrated by his “still a virgin” young wife, Anne. Desiree’s former lover. Seeking a Broadway leading man-type with excellent singing voice, strong acting ability and stage presence. Starring role. Baritone.

Desiree Armfeldt:

35-50. An actress. Fredrik’s former mistress, the Count’s current mistress, mother to Fredrika. Attractive and glamorous leading lady with great stage presence. Seeking excellent actress/singer with good comic timing and sensitivity. Starring role. Mezzo.

Madame Armfeldt:

65+. Desiree’s mother, Fredrika’s grandmother. Uses a wheelchair. Still elegant, with a hint of her former beauty and glamour. Wise matron. Classy former courtesan to assorted lovers, who have left her wealthy and disdainful of contemporary relationships. Seeking excellent actress with good comic timing and presence. Leading role.

THE UNEXPECTED GUEST by Agatha Christie. Dir: David Edwards. 1st reh: 7/5. Runs 7/14-7/17.

Castng note: ALL characters must have excellent upper class British/Welsh accents.

Michael Starkwedder:

35ish. Our “Unexpected Guest”. Active, tough-looking, with an outdoorsy look. Not very polished in manner or appearance, but is a shrewd thinker as well as a man of action. Seeking excellent actor with presence and ability to charm the audience. Starring role.

Laura Warwick:

30. Richard’s wife/widow. Attractive blonde. Nervous in her surroundings, and a major suspect in the murder. Starring role.

FUNNY GIRL Music: Jule Styne. Lyrics: Bob Merrill. Book: Isobel Lennart. Dir: Dennis Courtney. Choreo: Judy Williams Henry. Mus Dir: Louis F. Goldberg. 1st reh: 7/5. Runs 7/21-7/31.

Nick Arnstein:

30-40. Strong leading man-type. Handsome and swarthy but unsuccessful professional gambler. Fanny’s love interest and eventual husband. Role is larger in the stage version than in the film, and Nick has more songs, scenes, etc. Seeking an excellent singer/actor for this leading role. Baritone, low E to high E.

Fanny Brice:

21-30. Real-life star of the “Ziegfeld Follies”, in her early years. An “ugly duckling” who has enormous talent and stage presence. Performer in this role must have excellent comic timing along with great

sensitivity. Must also move well. The film and stage version of the show have some of the same songs, but there are some differences in musical numbers. Seeking a performer who is the next “greatest star”. Starring role. Seeking excellent singer/actress with a big Broadway belt sound (low G to high F).

Mrs. Brice:

45-60. Fanny’s sharp-tongued but sympathetic and loving mother. Runs the family business, a saloon on New York’s Lower East Side. Role is larger in the stage version than in the film, and includes solos, duets and some choreography. Performer must be an excellent comic character actress with a brassy Broadway sound (mezzo/belt, low Ab to C). Must move well. Featured.

Theatre is located approximately three hours from NYC, near Hershey, PA.
