BREAKDOWN
[EVA]: Female. Latinx. Mid 20s-Late 30s. Intelligent, ambitious, beautiful, passionate, and power-seeking. Eva rises from her underprivileged roots and works to become an elegant leader and a heroine for Argentina. Legit Mezzo-Soprano with a strong mix with belt to G. Strong actor who can move well.
[CHE]: Male. Latinx. Mid 20s-Late 30s. A political activist who serves as the narrator for the show. Handsome, charismatic, radical, impulsive, jealous, manipulative. High rock/pop tenor voice with a low A to high B/Falsetto to high F. Strong actor who can move well.
[PERON]: Male. Latinx. 30s-40s. An officer in the Argentine army who rises to become the Argentine President. Charming, authoritative, dignified. A strong singer/actor. Vocal bass/baritone to high F.
[MAGALDI]: Male. Latinx. 30s-40s. A tango singer with whom Eva has her first love affair. Magaldi is a bit of a charming loser, just on the cusp of becoming famous. He thinks he is larger than life, and has the ego to match- but he’s really not. Sings high tenor High G.
[MISTRESS]: Female. Latinx 20s. Beautiful, innocent, vulnerable and sensual. Requires a high mix and a belt. The Mistress will also be in the ensemble and will cover the role of EVA.
