THE MOUNTAINTOP by Katori Hall
All roles available.
MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. - Male identifying, Black, 39. Charismatic and devout, but ultimately very human. Seeking a strong actor with an electric stage presence and an unexpected sense of humor.
CAMAE - Female identifying, Black, 20's-early 30's. A maid who is not what she appears to be, she always surprises King (and the audience). She is smart, funny, mischeivious and not easily intimidated. Seeking a dynamic, young leading lady who can hold her own.
ADA AND THE ENGINE by Lauren Gunderson
This show has been rescheduled after cancellation due to Covid. Seeking replacements should any members of the original cast not be available for new dates. All characters are British, a strong ear for dialect is required of all actors.
ADA BYRON LOVELACE – Female identifying. Ages from 18 to 36 over the course of the play. A brilliant mathematician with an artist’s soul. Funny, independent and proud. Seeking a versatile and strong leading lady.
CHARLES BABBAGE – Male identifying. Ages from 40’s to 60’s over the course of the play. A renowned mathematician who mentors Ada. He is charismatic and commanding, but can also be a little prickly.
LADY ANABELLA BYRON/MARY SOMMERVILLE – Female identifying. 40’s-50’s. This actress doubles as Ada’s stern mother who butts heads with her independent daughter, and Charles’s friend who also mentors Ada.
LORD LOVELACE/LORD BYRON – Male identifying. 30’s. This actor doubles as Ada’s fiancé/husband, a handsome man who is out of his depth with such a brilliant wife, and Ada’s absent father, the scandalous poet Lord Byron.
HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH by John Cameron Mitchell, Music & Lyrics by Stephen Trask
This show has been rescheduled after cancellation due to Covid. All roles available.
HEDWIG – 30’s. Rock tenor. A queer/non-binary character. Born as Hansel, but reinvented as Hedwig, an “internationally ignored song stylist.” Hedwig is a rock goddess and a wonderful storyteller with a great sense of humor. Seeking an actor who can truly rock, transform into different characters and hold the audience in the palm of their hand.
YITZHAK – 20’s/30’s. Rock belter. A queer/non-binary character. Hedwig’s “man Friday” – back-up singer, roadie and much-abused partner. Yitzhak is an incredible singer and former drag performer who has been relegated to back-up by Hedwig. Actor/musician could be useful in this role, but not mandatory.
