BREAKDOWN

Equity encourages everyone participating in the auditions to wear a two-ply cloth face mask, surgical
mask, singer’s mask or respirator (N95, KN95 or KF94). Single-ply face masks, gaiters and bandanas

Equity encourages members to prepare for their audition prior to arriving at the audition venue, to the
extent that they can (e.g., get dressed, hair/make-up, etc.) to avoid crowding in bathrooms and

SEEKING:

TOMMY McDONALD: 65-80. 510 or shorter. Former Philadelphia Eagles pro football player. The
shortest player (59) ever inducted into the hall of fame. The play takes place around this event.
Tommy was never a quitter and worked extra hard for everything he earned. An honest fighter with a
no-nonsense aire of kindness and a sense of humor. A good guy who never expected any fuss over
himself.

RAY DIDINGER: 50's Male presenting 6ft - 6'2 Famous philly sportscaster who fought to get his
childhood sports hero Tommy McDonald into the Football Hall of Fame. A thin professor looking type
with a great sense of humor and a warm heart. Passionate about his beliefs and charismatic. Great
with direct address.

YOUNG RAY: 10-12 Male presenting, under 5 ft. A young sports fanatic. He loves to memorize sports
facts and rattle them off. A great sense of mischief and fun. Needs to be comfortable on stage and
handling a lot of lines. His voice has not changed yet.

YOUNG TOMMY McDONALD: 24-29 Male presenting, around 5'9 in his prime playing with the
Philadelphia Eagles. The poetic wholesomeness of a great American sports hero. A can-do guy. Hard
worker, passionate and with a kind smile about him. We are seeing him through the eyes of his biggest
fan. Blonde, classic, and iconic like a young Robert Redford.

JONATHAN (A - A (two octaves), 25-early 30s) Dynamic, attractive leading man. Struggling East
Village composer turning 30; smart and likable, extremely passionate and determined; edgily ironic
and irreverent and a little self-involved. Strong rock voice.

MICHAEL (B flat - G, 25-early 30s) BIPOC actor. Jonathan's roommate and best friend. Attractive, gay
business professional with an artist's soul. Career-minded and image-conscious, but also supportive of
and caring toward Jonathan. Soulful and devoted, but secretive. Will double as a number of additional
character roles with terrific comic timing. Strong rock voice.

SUSAN (Strong belt A flat to D, 25-early 30s) Jonathan's girlfriend, a dancer. Attractive, sexy and

dynamic. Nurturing, loving and supportive but growing increasingly frustrated with Jonathan's pre-
occupation and lack of commitment. Will double as a number of additional character roles with terrific comic timing. Any ethnicity

RICHARD “BUD” JOHNSON- Male presenting, mid 40s, Francesca’s husband, an Iowa farmer, a
good guy, diligent and dependable, but always exhausted and irritated that things haven’t gotten

ROBERT KINCAID- Male presenting, 40/50 a ruggedly handsome, worldly, visionary photographer. Tenor

MICHAEL- Male presenting, age 16 at top of show, Francesca and Bud’s son

CAROLYN- Female presenting, age 14 at top of show, Francesca and Bud’s daughter

MARGE- Female presenting, 45-60 Francesca’s neighbor, sassy and nosy

THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW

SEEKING:

MAGENTA: Female, Age Flexible (Range: Mezzo Soprano Belt, Bb3-Eb5). Magenta is a domestic,
her job is simple, keep the castle clean and prepare all meals and wait on Frank hand and foot. Cater
to his every whim. Magenta is fond of her brother Riff Raff, and can be seen laughing at the other's
misery. Magenta is not afraid to put her foot down to get her point across, and will be pushy or rude to
get what she wants.

BRAD: Male, 25-35 (Bari Tenor, Bb2-G4) Quirky and overly optimistic at times. An All-American man
who proposes to his girlfriend Janet Weiss. After a flat tire incident he finds himself at the mercy of Dr.
Frank N Furter, his servants, and ends up confused over his own sexuality after the events in the
castle.

JANET: Female, 18-35 (Mezzo Soprano Belt, A3-Eb5) Good, innocent girl who is madly in love with
Brad. Always seems to be frightened of something. Emotionally weak and caves into pressure easily.

NARRATOR: Male, 50+ (Non-Singing Role) Follows our two heroes through the story by narrating
directly to the audience.

RIFF RAFF: Male, 30s (High Rock Tenor, D3-B4) Frank's personal butler, Riff Raff is a shady
character who seems to be up to something.

COLUMBIA: Female, 30s (Mezzo Soprano Belt, E4-E5) One of Frank’s servants. A groupie who is
both Frank's and Eddie's ex-girlfriend. She starts off as being extremely loyal to Frank. Though, she
quickly realizes that he's simply using her and turns on him. Tap Dancing skills are an asset.

FRANK 'N' FURTER: Male Transvestite, 25-45 (Baritone, D3-G4) Master of the castle and of
seduction. Welcomes Janet and Brad with open arms. Frank is a Mad Scientist bent on creating the
perfect man, which he succeeds in doing so by creating Rocky.

ROCKY: Male 18-30, (Tenor, A3-G4) Very lean and fit, Frank's beloved creation, Rocky is supposed to
be the perfect man. However, things don't go well when Janet seduces him causing Frank to go into
a jealous rage. Comfortable being in underwear/speedo for most of the show.

EDDIE/DR. SCOTT: Male, 30-40 (Range: Baritone, E3-F#4) A former delivery boy who was
Columbia's ex-boyfriend. Half of his brain was used to create Rocky. Dr. Scott is Brad’s former science
teacher and close friend. He ends up at the castle while looking for his nephew, Eddie.

WHITE CHRISTMAS

SEEKING:

BOB WALLACE- Male presenting, late 20s- mid 30s. a major singing star, deeply kind and principled
man who is searching for his true love. A superb singer with a crooning period style. Baritone.

PHIL DAVIS- Male presenting, late 20s-mid 30s. The fun loving, go-getting song and dance partner in
the act. An irrepressible clown, operator and incorrigible ladies’ man. He has boyish charm and sex
appeal. A strong tap dancer. Bari-tenor.

BETTY HAYNES- Female presenting, mid to late 20s. The sensible, responsible half of the upcoming
song and dance team. A woman of decent, upstanding principles, devoted to her younger sister. Rich
mixed sound with a soprano extension.

JUDY HAYNES- Female presenting, early 20s. The younger more ambitious, slightly scheming
Haynes sister. While wholesome and adorable, she is sexy and flirty Strong jazz and tap dancing.

GENERAL HENRY WAVERLY- Male presenting, late 50s-60. A retired U.S. Army General, adjusting
to returning to civilian life in post World War II America. Once a powerful leader, he now struggles to
run an Inn in Vermont. Remains a man of great principle and dignity. Beneath his curmudgeonly
military exterior lies a warm, compassionate man in need of family and love.

MARTHA WATSON- Female presenting, late 40s-60. Once a Broadway star now the general’s
housekeeper at the Inn. Has a dry, wry, wisecracking sense of humor. Big hearted but completely
unsentimental, an irrepressible meddler. Belt voice and great comic timing.

SUSAN WAVERLY- Female presenting, 9 years old. The General’s granddaughter, she is very smart,
lovable and an outgoing kid. She is wise beyond her years and cares deeply for her Grandfather, has
an excellent singing belt voice.

RALPH SHELDRAKE- Male presenting mid to late 30s Army buddy of Bob and Phil’s now a major
executive on the Ed Sullivan Show. Fast talking New York professional. Baritone.

EZEKIEL FOSTER- Male presenting mid 40s to 50s. The ultimate New Englander, who helps out at
the Inn and takes life at a very slow pace. May also be double cast with other features in the show.

MIKE- Male presenting mid 20s to 30s. Bob and Phil’s stage manager. Has a tendency to be over-
dramatic and completely hysterical but will get things done, may also be double cast with other features in the show.
