Lunch from 12:30 – 1:30.

appointment,call (941) 351-1277 or Equity Members without appointments will be seen throughout each audition day, as time permits.

Please prepare two contrasting pieces, 2 minutes or less each.

Please bring a picture and resume, stapled together.

All dates below are in 2012. All roles are available unless otherwise specified.

A LESSON FROM ALOESby Athol Fugard. (Rehearsal June 5th. Production 6/28 to 7/15.

Gladys, Piet’s wife, same age leading lady, feminine, independent.

Steve, a black man, same age, a resistance fighter, defeated.

Piet, ROLE IS CAST. Auditioning performers will be considered as possible (emergency) replacements, should any become necessary. Afrikaner mid 40’s personable, subdued survivor of apartheid resistance.

THE PIANO TEACHERby Julia Cho. Rehearsal June 26th. Production 7/19 to 8/5

Mrs. K, elderly woman of Western European descent, lonely widow, former piano teacher, mysterious, leading role many lines.

Mary Fields, a young woman of any ethnicity, a sensitive former piano student of Mrs K. (Actor also plays off stage voices of Parent A and Student 1.)

Michael, a young man of indeterminate ethnicity, good looking, a mystery about him, shows an underlying unhappiness. (Actor also plays off stage voices of Parent B and Student D).

CRIMES OF THE HEARTby Beth Henley. Rehearsal July 17th. Production 8/9 to 8/26.

Lenny, 30’s the eldest sister, a bit chubby.

Chick, 29, the sisters’ first cousin, unmarried, old for her years, yellow hair and over made up.

Doc, 30, Meg’s old boyfriend, attractively worn with a slight limp, quiet, seductive, acts older than his age.

Meg, 27, the middle sister, sad and defeated for a young woman. An aspiring actress just back from a very unsuccessful try at N.Y. stage.

Babe, 24,the youngest sister, angelic look with fierce eyes, just out on bail after shooting her husband, plays the saxophone.

Barnette Lloyd, 26, Babe’s lawyer, slender, fanatical intensity.
