SEEKING
Equity and non-Equity actors for various roles. Seeking ETHNICALLY DIVERSE, Exceptional actors with solid voice and movement training adept at Shakespeare for casting in a fast paced 90 minute version. NON-TRADITIONAL, CROSS-GENDER CASTING.
PREPARATION
Prepare one 2 to 3 minute Shakespeare monologue. Bring picture and resume

REHEARSALS: Begin Tuesday April 24, continuing weekday evenings (6:30-10:00), Saturdays and Sundays afternoon/evening TBD. Rehearsals at ART/NY: SOS, 138 South Oxford St., Brooklyn and Spaces @ 520, 520 8th Ave., NYC. One rehearsal in Cadman Plaza Park on Friday evening, June 15. PERFORMANCES INDOORS AT SOUTH OXFORD SPACE: Opens Friday. 5/25 at 8pm, then 5/26-28, 6/1-3, 6/8-10, all at 8pm. PERFORMANCES IN CADMAN PLAZA PARK: 6/16 and 6/17, both at 6pm

To be performed indoors in the Great Room at South Oxford Street Space, ART/NY, Brooklyn (see audition location) and outdoors at the Brooklyn War Memorial in Cadman Plaza Park as our continuing free Shakespeare at Sunset.
An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition.

BREAKDOWN
DUKE SENIOR / DUKE FREDERICK - 40's or older, plays both brothers, who are 2 sides of the same coin
AMIENS / OLIVER - 20's-30's; Amiens is a follower of Duke Senior and sings, Oliver is brother to Orlando
JAQUES - any age, follower of Duke Senior, has one of the most famous speeches in the canon, must be a true Shakespearean
ORLANDO - 20's, in love with Rosalind, a would-be poet with a big heart and not a lot upstairs
ADAM / CORIN - must read elderly; Adam is an elderly servant to Orlando, Corin is an old shepherd
TOUCHSTONE / AUDERY - any age, the wit of the play, must have excellent comic timing; will puppeteer his true love, Audrey
SILVIUS - 20's-30's, a shepherd in love with Phebe
ROSALIND - 20's, the protagonist of the play, in love with Orlando; in the forrest she plays a man called Ganymede
CELIA - 20's-30's. cousin to Rosalind and her confidant
PHEBE - 20's-30's, a country girl in love with Ganymede
