Major Sergius Saranoff:
25 to 40 years old. A dashing military man with a handsome face and figure. Not the brightest bulb on the tree but quite observant. What Sergius observes in himself and in the world at large disappoints his lofty romantic ideals. His frequent disappointments have resulted in the creation of a slightly ironic and brooding air (which rather suits him). Actors must have strong language skills and a keen sense of comedy.
