HYSTERIA: OR FRAGMENTS OF AN ANALYSIS OF AN OBSESSIONAL NEUROSIS by Terry Johnson. Dir: Todd Olson. Co-produced w/Wellfleet Harbor Actor’s Theatre (NEAT, Wellfleet MA). 1st reh (MA): On/about 7/17/13. Runs in MA 8/9-9/23 Runs in FL 9/19-10/28.
Sigmund Freud, an energetic old man.
Salvador Dali, a small, tall Spaniard with a strange mustache and a talent for painting.
Jessica, a woman in her late 20’s or early 30’s.
Abraham Yehuda, a large man in his 60’s, and even greater weight and status than Freud.
WIT by Margaret Edson. Dir: Todd Olson. 1st reh: 9/25/12. Runs 10/21-11/4. American Stage expects this production to be on an Equity Letter of Agreement (LOA) instead of SPT. LOA is pending AEA approval.
Vivian Bearing,
PhD is 50 years old, a professor of seventeenth-century poetry at the university, diagnosed with
stage IV,
metastatic
ovarian cancer. Please know that because of the nature of the story, the performance will require the actress to shave her head, and includes a brief moment of nudity in the final moment.
Harvey Kelekian,
MD – 50 years old, chief of medical oncology at the University Hospital. Actor also plays Mr Bearing, Vivian's father.
Jason Posner,
MD – 28 years old, a clinical fellow at the Medical Oncology branch; former student of Dr Bearing.
Susie Monahan,
RN,
BSN - 28 years old, Dr Bearing's primary nurse.
Dr. E. M. Ashford, - Woman, 80 years old, professor emerita of English literature; Vivian's former college
professor. Assorted lab technicians and students.

One actress plays 7 roles as diverse as a 14 year old Amish girl, a 16 year old pregnant Hispanic girl, a 31 year old widow, a 50 year old male professor, a 53 year old non-Amish woman, and the 33 year old mass murder, Eddie Stuckey.

Dean Wreen, female, late 40’s. Intense, practical, compassionate, stuck.

“Man” plays multiple roles including Asher’s father, Yitzchok Lev, the Rebbe, and Jacob Kahn.
“Woman” plays multiple roles including Asher’s mother, Anna Schaeffer, and Rachel.

Marc, an aeronautical engineer with mainstream aesthetic sensibilities. A mentor and bit of a bully.
