Breakdown

VIOLET – 30s/40s, attractive, strong, ambitious woman. Stands up for what she believes in. Can sing well and play comedy.

DORALEE – late 20s/30s, sexy in a wholesome country singer way. This is the role that Dolly Parton played in the film. While we are looking for someone who can suggest a Dolly Parton like character, we are not looking for impersonators.

JUDY- late 20s/30s, attractive, insecure, at first afraid of being on her own but later becomes empowered and strong. Can sing well and play comedy – especially physical comedy.

ROZ – late 20s/30s, the office kiss-up, a gossip, has an unrequited love for her boss, Hart, and will do anything to win his approval. Can sing well and play comedy.

FRANKLIN HART - 30s/40s, arrogant, self-absorbed, male chauvinist corporate 70s boss. Is capable of a surface, smarmy charm. Can sing well and play comedy.
