The Swingle Singers Come to Festival Place

Festival Place will welcome back five-time GRAMMY Award winners, The Swingle Singers, March 22, 2019.

For more than half a century, The Swingle Singers have pushed the boundaries of vocal music. Their album, Jazz Sebastian Bach, launched the Swingle Singers to fame and have since won five GRAMMY awards and appeared on numerous film and TV soundtracks, including Sex and the City, Milk, Grey's Anatomy and Glee. Their unique sound can be heard on the soundtrack to the recently released film Downsizing which is taking the film festival scene by storm.

The group's versatility has led to collaborations with artists as diverse as the Modern Jazz Quartet, Jamie Cullum and Labrinth. The group continues to perform the piece to great acclaim around the world, with recent performances at San Francisco's Davies Symphony Hall, London's Royal Festival Hall and Milan's La Scala.

Festival Place continues to be Alberta's #1 Presenter of Professional Artists. The 2017/2018 season showcased an eclectic mix of over 80 incredibly talented performers. The 2018/2019 season carries on the same ambitious standard of entertainment, with over 30 performances already scheduled in 2019, with new shows added throughout the year.
