A cast of five singers pays tribute to the iconic Broadway musical team of Rodgers & Hammerstein with a celebration of their songs from Carousel, Cinderella, Oklahoma!, South Pacific, The Sound of Music, and more.
Some Enchanted Evening and The Velveteen Rabbit will be alternating weeks. Some Enchanted Evening performances are Apr. 9-11, Apr. 22-25, & May 6-9, 2021. Show times are 7:30 PM Thursdays through Saturdays and 2 PM on Sundays.
For those not yet ready to come into the theatre: The Playhouse will provide a livestream on opening night, Friday, Apr. 9, 2021, and will provide the opening night recording as video-on-demand, Apr. 16-18 & Apr. 30-May 2, 2021

April 13, 2021 When Des Moines Playhouse closed their production of 'Singin' in the Rain' last year, no one could have imagined what would follow. A year without a musical performance on the stage. This meant that the big productions they had planned for Summer, Fall, and Winter had to be canceled. That changed on Friday, April 9, when they opened their spring production of 'Some Enchanted Evening: The Songs of Rodgers and Hammerstein.'About the Theatre
