Des Moines Onstage Children's Theater Presents 13 THE MUSICAL, Beginning 5/17

Des Moines Onstage Children's Theater will present "13″ - The Broadway musical, in conjunction with Des Moines Social Club, 18 middle and high school youth from several Des Moines Metro Schools, as well as 12 students and faculty from Drake University's Musical Theater Department.

"13″ is a high energy song and dance contemporary rock musical about growing up! When his parents get divorced and he's forced to move from New York to a small town in Indiana on the eve of his Bar Mitzvah, Evan Goldman just wants to make friends and survive the school year.

With an unforgettable rock score from Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown, "13″ is a hilarious, grown-up musical for all ages about discovering that cool is where you find it, and sometimes where you least expect it. Pop / Rock. Rated PG. Tickets available at the door and online at www.midwestix.com. Performances at Des Moines Social Club's Kirkwood Theater (4th and Walnut). Fridays, May 17th and 24th at 7pm. Saturdays, May 18th and 25th at 7pm. Sundays, May 19th and 26th at 2pm. General Admission. $15 for adults and $10 for students.
