City Circle Acting Company of Coralville has announced its 2018-19 season.

The season opens with the 2015 Tony award-winning play The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time based on Mark Haddon's internationally best-selling novel. The play will be directed by Bo Frazer and will run September 28-30.

Disney's Beauty and the Beast, a lavish family musical filled with spectacular costumes and wonderful songs by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, and Tim Rice will be a holiday treat for audiences. Elizabeth Tracey directs this "tale as old as time" which will run December 7-16.

A concert version of The Who's Tommy will help chase away your winter blues.

Based on the iconic 1969 rock concept album, this five-time Tony Award-winning rock musical is an exhilarating, high-energy, one-of-a-kind theatrical event. Directed by Elizabeth Tracey, Tommy runs February 15-17, 2019.

In May audiences will be transported to 18th century France and England for The Scarlet Pimpernel, a swashbuckling action/adventure musical, based on Baroness Orczy's famous 20th-century novel about the French Revolution and the battle for Liberty, Equality and Fraternity. With an epic, sweeping book by Nan Knighton and a rousing and passionate score by Knighton and Frank Wildhorn, this musical is a glorious window into 18th century French and British history. Directed by Jaret Morlan, the show will run May 3-12, 2019.

The final show of the season will be City Circle's annual teen musical which will run June 14-22, 2019. Chris Okiishi and Leslie Nolte will direct this recent Broadway hit which will be announced in March 2019.
