HEDWIG and the ANGRY INCH
Text by John Cameron Mitchell
Music and Lyrics by Stephen Trask
Nick Sugar, star of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, makes a triumphant return to the Avenue Theater for 14 performances!
"A riveting performance." - The Denver Post
"Purely terrific." - Westword
"Run to see it!" - Out Front Colorado
"This Hedwig Rocks!" - The Boulder Daily Camera
"I cannot imagine anyone, anywhere, at any time giving any finer performance
than what currently lives at the Avenue." - Colorado Backstage
Last summer's Avenue Theater hit, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, is a vibrant story of an East German glam-rocker who comes to America hoping to find freedom and fortune. However, to leave East Germany, Hedwig had to leave a little "something" behind. The evening is an intoxicating concert with Hedwig and the band "The Angry Inch." In the tradition of The Rocky Horror Show, mixed with Iggy Pop and David Bowie, you are sure to be laughing while Hedwig's stories and music have your head spinning and heart pounding!
The show stars the talented Nick Sugar as Hedwig, David Nehls as Skszp, leader of The Angry Inch(also the Music Director), and Amanda Earls as Yitzhak
Hedwig and the Angry Inch can be seen April 30-May 28, Thursdays & Saturdays and 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 4:00 p.m.; with a Special Industry Night on Monday May 16 at 7:30 p.m. For tickets please call the box office at 303-321-5925 or visit either www.AvenueTheater.com or www.HedwigDenver.com.
