The Northglenn Arts and Humanities Foundation (NAHF) has scheduled maintenance and repair on the City's permanent sculpture collection for the month of June, 2010. Patrick Kipper, local conservation expert, will perform the repairs and maintenance according to The Code of Ethics and Guidelines for Practice Set Forth by the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (AIC), as well as the Guidelines for Conservation Practices of the AIC Objects Specialties Group. NAHF will pay for the restoration with help from the Adams County Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD) and private donations.

The largest project in the collection is the "Veteran's War Memorial" at City Hall. It will be cleaned, waxed, and repaired where the rifles have been bent/cracked. Also, the cat portion of "Friends" at Danahy Park will be removed temporarily for restoration. Other pieces receiving treatment are "Potato Man" at City Hall, "High Four" at Central Park in Fox Run, "The Orphans" at Northwest Open Space, "Open Space" at Northwest Open Space, "Ascension" at Winburn Park, "Gateway NW and NE" at E. B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park Sensory Playground, "What's Next Dad?" at the Northglenn Recreation Center, "Imagine That" at Wyco Park, "Hop To It" at Croke Reservoir, and "My Buddy" at the Bill Goodspeed Happy Tails Dog Park.

The Northglenn Arts and Humanities Foundation (NAHF) is a 501(c)3 organization that provides funding for quality youth theatre, public art, and other cultural endeavors in our community. NAHF was founded in 1990.
