Lost in Yonkers
WINNER! Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award!
By Neil Simon
Directed by Warren Sherrill

Lost in Yonkers is a coming-of-age story set in Yonkers, New York. Simon's Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning play centers around two brothers, Arty and Jay, who live with their grandmother and their mentally challenged Aunt Bella, while their father travels, desperately trying to scrape enough money together while working as a salesman to pay off his debts to a loan shark, and their mother has died of cancer. Over the course of the play, the young boys learn lessons about love, responsibility and the importance of family that will carry them into adulthood.

The Classic Pulitzer Prize Winning Play
Our Town
By Thornton Wilder
Directed by Len Matheo
**Starring Jim Hunt as The Stage Manager**

A landmark in American drama (for a very good reason), Thornton Wilder's Pulitzer Prize-winning Our Town tells the story of a small town - Grover's Corners, New Hampshire - in order to tell us the story of every town the whole world over. Narrated by the "Stage Manager," we follow the Gibbs and Webb families, residents of Grover's Corners, through twelve years of life changes -- from the ordinary in Act I ("Daily Life"), to the romantic in Act II ("Love and Marriage"), to the heartbreaking and heartwarming in Act III ("Death and Eternity"). Through the young lovers Emily and George, their strong and loving parents, and the many other Grover's Corners' locals, Wilder delivers universal truths about what it means to be human. "Oh, earth," Emily Webb exclaims towards the play's end, "you're too wonderful for anyone to realize you." With humor, wit, and exceptionally powerful storytelling, Our Town offers a unique opportunity for audience members to make precisely that realization.

A new play written for Miners Alley Playhouse by Josh Hartwell
(it doesn't even have a title yet)

Directed by Len Matheo

Miners Alley Playhouse has commissioned award-winning playwright Josh Hartwell to write the compelling, untold, and absolutely true story of Mae Brussell and the people and the times that she lived. That time was the 1960's and 1970's. Mae Brussell was a conspiracy theorist and radio host, who was trying to tell the world that JFK's assassination may not have been a lone gunman killing, but a mass conspiracy. But after the Watergate break-in in 1972, she started to figure out what was going on before anyone else. Told with the humor and wit for which Hartwell is known (he adapted our version of A Christmas Carol, which you may have seen last year), this a brand new play you'll want to see here, so you can tell everyone you saw it first! You'll love this untold story about America's first modern day conspiracy theorist and what that means in today's charged politics

Fairfield
Regional Premiere!
By Eric Coble

"Peace. Love. Respect for all." So goes the motto of Fairfield Elementary, a public school located in a diverse, liberal district. But when a young teacher's misguided attempts at celebrating Black History Month take a hilariously dark turn, chaos erupts and it seems it may be impossible to safely reach the 'CelebrEthnic Potluck.' Fairfield is a razor-sharp, insightful comedy from Cleveland playwright Eric Coble that examines how we each determine what's appropriate and inappropriate, and whether "We Shall Overcome."

September 6-October 13
Tony Award-Winning Musical Sensation!
Once
Book by Enda Walsh
Music and Lyrics by Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová
Directed by Len Matheo
Music Direction by Mitch Samu

From the very first note, Once draws you in and never lets go. This emotionally captivating musical is the only show to have music that won an Academy Award, a Grammy Award, an Olivier Award and a Tony Award.

On the streets of Dublin, an Irish musician and a Czech immigrant are drawn together by their shared love of music. Over the course of one fateful week, an unexpected friendship and collaboration quickly evolves into a powerful but complicated love story, underscored by emotionally charged music.

Featuring all of the magical songs from the critically acclaimed film, including the Oscar-winning "Falling Slowly," this achingly beautiful, joyously uplifting show strikes an unforgettable chord in audiences and speaks to the power of music to connect us all. A show like that only comes around Once.
