Firehouse Theater Presents ROCK OF AGING, 11/2-17

By:

Firehouse Theater presents the world premiere of "Rock of Aging" running November 2 through November 17 at the Eisenhower Chapel, 293 Roslyn St, Denver, CO 80230. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 Adult; $18 for Students, Seniors, and Military and are available by calling 303-562-3232 or online at www.firehousetheatercompany.com.

Planning their comeback tour is the incomparable 60's and 70's rock band, The Rolling Emotions. The 6-piece band and backup singers, The Emotionetts, soon realize the life of rock stars is a whole lot harder now that they are in their 50's. A new camaraderie is formed as they give their baby boomer songs a new meaning singing about aging maladies such as weight gain, memory loss, and gastric issues (including the dreaded first colonoscopy). Together they learn that while aging "ain't for sissies" they're more than ready, with the help of their beloved music, to face and to celebrate all the challenges that growing older brings.

The cast includes Deborah Montgomery (Rickie D. Bones), Dave Bauer (Gordon Goutfoot), CJ Musman (Jim Crotchity), Greg Ashby (Joe Snockered), Martin Palumbo (Gerry with the Pacemaker), Tom Dudinski (Willie Withers), Mitch Slevc (Casey Clark), Shelley McMillion (Shirelle), Carla Allen (Vandelle) and Rodella Wooten (Marvelle).

Deborah Montgomery's love of music began early, influenced by the Motown sounds of her hometown. A highlight of her early career was singing alongside Detroit diva Diana Ross in a benefit concert. Her theater credits include Juliet in 'Romeo and Juliet', The Barn Theater, Farmington Hills, MI., Laura Wingfield in 'The Glass Menagerie' at The Hillberry Theater, Detroit, MI. Rose Red in 'Snow White and Rose Red', S & T Productions,
Southfield, MI. She performed many supporting roles, as an Apprentice Actor, with the 'American Drama Festival' at Greenfield Village, Dearborn MI. in the early 70s. Debbie has performed locally with the variety band /Airplay/ since 1998.

Bill Paddock, the word witty friend of Deborah Montgomery, rewrote the lyrics to the old songs for "Rock of Aging." He is a founder of Carlson, Hammond & Paddock, L.L.C, a diverse practice that includes, among other things, representing agricultural, municipal, and industrial clients in water rights and water quality matters.
