Creede Rep Partnering with Boulder's LOCAL Theater Company on New Work

CRT is thrilled to partner with Boulder's LOCAL Theater Company for a staged reading of The History Room by Charlie Thurston. Starring Christy Brandt, Kate Berry and John Green, The History Room will be a part of LOCAL Lab's 5th Annual New Play Fest. LOCAL Theater's Artistic Director Pesha Rudnick will helm the staged reading on Sunday, March 13 at 2pm at eTown Hall in Boulder, Colorado, and then, she will re-join the cast in Creede to direct the full production here this summer.

More about The History Room: We should always keep our promises, right? In this dark, fantastical comedy, Steve made a promise to kill his best friend, Helen, if she descends into dementia like her mother. Now, 20 years later, while navigating the many faces of Helen's illness, her stubborn caregiver husband, her estranged daughter, and the blood-thirsty ghost of his own son, Steve must determine Helen's fate. Part farce, part magical realism, The History Room by Charlie Thurston explores honor, loss, the integrity of memory, and who should decide how it ends.

LOCAL Lab Festival: March 11-13, 2016. Passes are available starting February 1 at LOCALTheaterCompany.org or by calling 303-443-8696. Tickets are also available in person at the eTown box office at 1535 Spruce Street in Boulder. Festival Passes are $99.00 and include all readings, the master class in devised work, and all food and beverages at parties and the kaffeeklatsch. Festival passes also include reserved seating. Individual tickets are available to the three play readings. Friday and Sunday's play readings are $22/advance, $25/door, $12/students. Saturday's reading (with after party included) is $25/advance, $30/door. All individual tickets are General Admission seating.
