Under the auspices of Possum Point Players, auditions are scheduled for "Different Than Good," a pilot summer workshop for young people on Tuesday, June 12, and Wednesday, June 13, 6 p.m. both evenings, in the Green Room of Possum Hall. This pilot workshop is intended to serve as a training ground for musical theatre and will conclude with public performances presented by a core ensemble on Friday, August 3, and Saturday, August 4. Auditions are open to high school students 16 and up and to college students and other young adults through mid-twenties.

Those auditioning should pick up materials which are available in the front office of the theatre until the time of auditions. Possum Hall is located at 441 Old Laurel Highway, Georgetown. Those wishing pdf copies of the materials can email Logan Lynch, lynchlogan411@gmail.com. All audition applicants should review and be prepared to present all of the material. Those who cannot make either of the audition dates can contact Lynch for information regarding video auditions.

Workshop directors hope to attract those who pursue theatre experience in school and their communities and who are willing to be challenged by the requirements of different and sometimes difficult music and dance. Music selections for the workshop will include the works of Stephen Sondheim, John Kander and Fred Ebb, and Jonathan Larson. For additional information, contact Lynch by email.

Possum Point Players is supported, in part, by grants from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency dedicated to nurturing and supporting the arts in Delaware, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.
