The DuPont Theatre, Delaware's Broadway Experience, is pleased to announce it's 99th Season of spectacular shows. The 2011/2012 Broadway Series has something for everyone! The DuPont Theatre's 99th Season continues to deliver Wilmington audiences a sampling of the best that Broadway has to offer with epic musicals and cutting-edge entertainment.

The 2011/2012 Broadway Series opens with the breathtaking new production of South Pacific October 18-23. The show is based on the 2008 Tony Award winning Lincoln Center Theater production, directed by Bartlett Sher. Set on a tropical island during World War II, the musical tells the sweeping romantic story of two couples and how their happiness is threatened by the realities of war and by their own prejudices. The beloved score's songs include "Some Enchanted Evening," "I'm Gonna Wash that Man Right Outa My Hair," and "There's Nothin' Like a Dame."
Cirque Dreams Holidaze brings the magic of the holiday season to the stage of the DuPont Theatre December 6-11. A cast of over 30 artists costumed as holiday ornaments come to life and perform astonishing feats of disbelief. Visions of gingerbread men flipping in the air, a 30 foot tree complete with acrobats as ornaments and choruses of angels hovering mid-air, are just a few of the highlights of this family treat.

BLAST! stands, blows, pounds, marches and whirls with panache January 31 - February 5. Winner of the 2001 Tony Award for "Best Special Theatrical Event" and the 2001 Emmy Award for "Best Choreography," Blast! Is comprised of 35 brass, percussion, and visual performers brought together in a unique explosion of music and theatre.

La Cage Aux Folles, starring George Hamilton, arrives in Wilmington March 6-11. Winner of three Tony Awards, this hilarious new production of La Cage Aux Folles was the biggest hit of the 2010 Broadway season, leaving audiences in stitches night after night! La Cage tells the story of Georges, the owner of a glitzy nightclub in Saint-Tropez, and his partner Albin, who moonlights as the glamorous chanteuse Zaza. When Georges' son brings his fiancée's conservative parents home to meet the flashy pair, the bonds of family are put to the test at the feature boas fly!
Michael Flatley's Lord of the Dance March 20-25, is a classic tale of good versus evil, based on Irish folklore that brings a passionate love story to life. Audiences are spellbound by a masterfully orchestrated combination of precision dancing, state of the art lighting and pyrotechnics. The musical score leaves no soul untouched. Lord of the Dance has thrilled audiences worldwide and catapulted Irish dance to a new dimension.

Andrea Martin's FINAL DAYS! EVERYTHING MUST GO! May 15-20 is a one woman tour-de-force of character and laughter! This Tony and Emmy award winning actress is best known for her comedic turns as Aunt Voula in MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING and from her leopard-wearing SCTV character Edith Prickley.
