Playhouse South Hosts Auditions For DARK NIGHTS OF BROADWAY 10/4-5, 11/13-14
Playhouse South, A Community Theatre announces open auditions the musical review, Dark Nights of Broadway. Auditions will be held at the Clark Haines Theater, 3700 Far Hills Avenue at 7:00 pm on October 4 & 5, 2010 with performances on November 13 & 14, 2010.
Dark Nights of Broadway is an evening of music from some cutting edge musicals such as Chicago, Cabaret, Hair, The Big Gay Musical, Next to Normal and Spring Awakening. Director Charles Penird is looking for singers and dancers for the show. Please note that the show has adult situations and themes.
Auditioners are asked to perform a one minute contemporary Broadway song. An accompanist and CD player will be provided. Please be prepared to sing short range exercises and do sight singing. There will also be a dance audition. Please dress accordingly.
