Ohana School of Performing Arts

Ohana School of Performing Arts is a dance studio at 41 Sheridan Street in Chicopee, Massachusetts, owned and directed by Ashley Kohl, whose stated aim is to instil values such as kindness, compassion, teamwork and trust alongside dance training and to make students feel part of a family. Classes are described as life-enriching and all-inclusive, for children and adults, in a variety of styles. Programming is structured by age and level: Parent and Pookie for ages 12 months to 2 years, Creative Movement, Fairytale Ballet and Tumble Tots for ages 2 to 4, and graded Levels 1 through 6 from age 4 up through advanced invite-only classes for teens, with dancers evaluated in the first weeks of the season for correct placement. The studio also runs a Performance Troupe where dancers prepare solos, duets and trios over the summer, a Wingman for Dance team- and character-building program, an assistant teacher and peer leader program, summer classes, birthday parties and ticketed performances.
