About this studio
Nicole's School of Dance operates from two locations in Ankeny, Iowa, at 311 SW Walnut Street and 1608 NW State Street, under the motto "Where Every Dancer's a Star". Class offerings cover ballet and pointe, taught from a classical foundation drawing on Cecchetti, Russian and Balanchine methods; jazz from classical jazz through jazz funk; tap with an emphasis on musicality and syncopation; lyrical and contemporary; hip hop; tumbling; pom, which prepares dancers for school dance teams; and musical theatre, including a senior heels class working in character shoes. A strength and stretch class is taught by instructors certified in the Alixa Flexibility program. The school runs a competition team, an annual recital, summer and autumn registration sessions, and dance birthday parties.
